We met at work in the ICU at Tacoma General over 20 years ago! We soon learned that we both have Norwegian heritage, and on our "first date," we got together to make krumkaka (a Norwegian cookie). Over the next several months we spent more and more time together, cross-country skiing, movies, book stores ....Then, on April 6, 1993, Lori made dinner (yes, she used to cook!) at the house on North 15th in Tacoma. That was when we realized that we were more than friends. The rest is herstory. Life together has only gotten better since that evening long (or not so long) ago. |
We're delighted to publicly declare our love and commitment to one another on our 20th anniversary together! We chose The Chapel on Echo Bay (now a national historic site), because of its quaintness and proximity to the Sound. Our ceremony will be uniquely us, with some elements of the traditional and the not-so-traditional. |
We will also hold our reception at the Chapel on Echo Bay. It will be an informal event, with time for socializing, a bit of music, and heavy hors d'oeuvres. If you wish, please bring a favorite quote or poem about love and commitment for our "memory book." |
