Our ceremony will be held at 10:30 AM on the morning of the 22nd. Our officiant, Kim Tavendale, is a spiritual reverend from New Zealand who was able to create a ceremony that fits with our personal spiritual and religious beliefs. We will be participating in a special seedling ceremony. The aspen tree, extremly common in Colorado, grows tall and strong when its roots find a companion's and intertwine. To symbolize the union of our souls, we will be planting 2 aspen seeds in a pot together during our ceremony. Then we will get to watch the trees grow as our marriage does!
You are all going to be an important part of the ceremony! Instead of a ring bearer, the rings will start at the back of the crowd and make their way up to us as each of you holds them and kisses them or sends your blessings and well-wishes upon them, passing them to each guest until they reach the altar. |
