We have chosen Santa Cruz Harbor as the the sacred site of our wedding because the Harbor mouth runs into the ocean.  When flowing water runs into the ocean or another large body of water this is where Yemaya is most present. Yemaya is the Mother of all living things.  She rules over Motherhood and owns all the waters of the Earth.

Yemaya is the Great Mother who lives and rules over all of the Earths the Seas.  As we know water is essential to Life so Yemaya makes all Life possible. She is always available to listen compassionately as a maternal figure to many and can offer maternal love, guidance and counsel to all who needs a mother.
